Product Description
"Will I be able to do billing and charge my customers?"
For billing capabilities, you will need to upgrade
to Account Manager. Account Manager LITE was not designed for commercial
use, so billing features were not included.
"What's the catch? Why are you giving away a free version?
Well, we're hoping that if you find the LITE version
beneficial that you may want to upgrade to
the Professional Series at some point in the future. Call us
crazy.
Product Requirements

Web server account that has CGI
capabilities |

Contact your server administrator if you are unsure. |

.htaccess or .nsconfig capabilities
These are used to protect your directories. 99% of all UNIX servers
include .htaccess. Not all NT server software has this capability.
Contact your server administrator if you are unsure. Note: Account
Manager Pro is NOT compatible with NT IIS WebServers or O'Reilly's
WebSite due to this requirement. Please make sure your NT WebServer
supports .htaccess or .nsconfig. |

Access to either Sendmail, BLAT, or Sockets
mail. No mail can be sent without at least ONE of the above. |

If you are using either BLAT or Sockets
mail (NT users usually), you will also need access to an SMTP mail
server. Contact your server administrator to find out if you do.
Note: the SMTP mail server needs to allow the user to send mail
without requiring them to log into the server. |
