Designed to stop the unauthorized linking of your website graphics and HTML pages from other websites, thereby using your bandwidth to deliver graphics and HTML pages to other website pages.
History:
The problem came to our attention when one of our customers noticed that their monthly hosting charge had risen dramatically over a period of several months due to increased bandwidth usage. Upon taking a closer look at their log files, they noticed that a large number of their proprietary graphics had not only been stolen and used on other websites, but to add insult to injury, the thieves were simply calling the graphics from the original location, thereby using up our clients bandwidth to deliver graphics to the unauthorized website pages.

Protects your Graphics and your HTML pages from being linked to. |

Creates a log file for you of those sites attempting to link to your Graphics and/or HTML pages. Log includes date, time, refering URL of the attempted link, graphic/HTML page attempted to link to. *NOTE: In order for Bandwidth Protector (or any other program for that matter) to log the website that the link was called from, the link must be coming from a web page, not the URL bar. If you test it in the URL bar, you won't see an address that called it in the log file, since there is no referring URL to log. |

Violation graphic loads on offending website, instead of your grpahic. The Violation graphic will warn their customers/visitors that their site is attempting to link to a protected graphic. |

Protect multiple domains with one copy of Bandwidth Protector. Use the Domain filter to select the Domains that you would like to be able to properly load your HTML pages and graphics. All others will be blocked. |

Even saving the graphic protected by Bandwidth Protector to your hard disk can be extremely difficult. |
